It tells of Vaeluna, the Moon Goddess, and Aethir Starmind, the First Moonwatcher of the Veylari, whose love endured beneath countless nights of shared wonder. When Aethir was taken from her, Vaeluna's grief shook the heavens, and for years her tears fell into oceans, rivers, lakes, and rainstorms across the world.
Wherever her tears touched water, new life awakened. From moonlight and memory, grief and love, seafoam and starlight, the Fanmarens were born. To this day, the Fanmaren people believe they are not only the children of Vaeluna, but the living remembrance of Aethir Starmind, whose love forever changed the world.
